One of my projects for this Blog is to inspire people to learn more about Music. This includes learning about Music from around the world and not just in the country that you live in. 

Music is an important part of every culture - each society has its own style and genre of Music and it forms a part of their identity. At least once a month, I will post a blog where readers can learn more about the music played and listened to in different country's and cultures. These country will be randomly selected but please let me know in the comments if there are any particular country's that you would like me to research and write about so that you can read. 

I hope you enjoy my blog posts on the different Music around the world and be able to learn more about the different cultures and society that makes up this beautiful world that we call Earth.

  Kids Music Day - In the Home At the end of this week, people will be celebrating Kids Music Day on October 2nd. In recognition of this, I have made 5 posts which I will upload each day this week in order to encourage and advertise music with children. Kids Music Day is all about encouraging and celebrating the use of music with children. Each year, music is being less valued in schools and taught to less students each year. It is rich with varieties related to the country’s various ethnicities . Key factors in Mongolian music are the long songs, morin khuur and overtone singing. Kids Music Day

Kids Music Day! More and More each day, music is becoming less valued in people’s lives and in particular in school. Government and teachers prioritise lessons such as Maths and English which don’t get me wrong are 100% necessary and compulsory in schools. But this priority comes at a price!!! As a result, teaching music is dramatically decreasing in schools. This led to Vincent James and Joann Pierdomenico founded the ‘Keep Music Alive’ campaign to help provide children with the opportunity of learning music.  KIDS MUSIC DAY is celebrated in October to promote the use of music with children and promoting the importance of teaching Music in school. This year it is being celebrated on October 2nd and I aim to help promote Kids Music Day through this blog and other means.
