Kids Music Day - Music Quiz

HAPPY KIDS MUSIC DAY EVERYONE!!!!!! Today is the final day of the week that I’ll be celebrating Kids Music Day this year but I will continue to speak about the importance of music in Education and for children throughout this blog as it is a matter that more people should be made aware about.

As a final post, I thought I’d do something fun and interactive whilst still providing you with some ideas of how you can engage children with Music. This is probably the easiest way to get children engaged from music and still have loads of fun. Quizzes have been around for ages and there’s so many different types of Quizzes nowadays including General knowledge Trivia, Trivial Pursuit, Personality Quizzes and Fandom Quizzes (The list is endless….)

As my last post for Kids Music Day this year, I have decided to create a Music Quiz which you can do whenever you want (simply post your answers/scores in the comments) - you can do it with a child or just give it to a child for a little activity to keep them entertained. So without further explaining, here’s my Music Quiz……

Creating a quiz can be a really simple activity that can provide children with fun entertainment whilst also exposing them more to music. In fact, you can even play a section of the song for each question so that they can hear the music as well. If you don’t have any time in life to make a quiz though, there is always Google which has loads of Quizzes available on almost every music topic you can think of. Does your child have a particular genre or style that is their favourite? Do they love a certain artist? Are they a massive Disney fan? Do they like classical music? There’s quizzes online for all styles, genres, artists, TV shows, disney, Film music - all you need to do is find the one you want (and do it, of course!)

I hope you enjoy this quiz I’ve made for you - I’ve tried to include a range of genres so that its fun for everyone but I’m sorry if I’ve missed anything out! The answers can be seen at the bottom of this post so don’t forget to mark them and comment your results and your thoughts! What question did you like? What one did you find really difficult? Are there any people mentioned who you’ve never heard of? I’d love to know! :)
